Blue Badge Scottish Tourist Guide

"Scotland has a personality all of its own. A rich historical past; splendid scenery; romantic ruins; highlands and islands; superb stately homes, castles and museums; lochs, glens and rivers; wonderful golf, fishing, walking and cycling; lush pasturelands, moors, forests and deserted beaches; tartan, tweed and quality knitwear; an abundance of wildlife and of course, an unsurpassed excellence in food, drink and hospitality."

City Walks Edinburgh

A Wonderful addition to your Scottish Tour!

'City Walks Edinburgh' a book written by myself which details 15 walks in and around the city exploring the Old Town, Georgian New Town, Parks, Gardens, Art Galleries and Museums.

I am pleased to say that due to popularity my book has had to be reprinted this year and now includes extra refreshment suggestions.

I am very fortunate to have been successful in two travel awards.

Outlander Themed Tour.

My highly successful and popular Outlander Themed Tour.

Whether you are a fan of the Outlander TV Series and would like to see the filming locations or an avid reader of the Diana Gabaldon books or maybe you just want to enjoy a personal, bespoke tour around some of Scotland's finest scenery, with some live history presentations then the Outlander Tour could be for you.

See Outlander Themed Tour for more details.

Red Deer

Scotland's wildlife

You could enjoy a Highland Safari taking you 3,000 feet up into the hills to see the country from a very different viewpoint and spot red deer, mountain hare, grouse, buzzards and eagles. You can enjoy the scenery whilst your specialist land rover driver guide takes you around. You could even have a picnic on the hills and partake of delicious Scottish produce and maybe even a wee dram. We have much to celebrate in this wonderful country and I look forward to welcoming you in the coming year.

About me

I am a Member of the Scottish Independent Tour Operators Association. I am also a registered Scottish Tourist Guide and Member of The British Guild of Tourist Guides and can design bespoke itineraries and transport you in comfortable vehicles with plenty of space for luggage and ‘retail therapy packages’ I also have over 25 years experience of planning bespoke tour itineraries for clients.

One of my team of driver guides will escort you and here is always time to stop for photographs at suitable places and time to enjoy refreshments in cafes or pubs along the way, or a picnic.

For much larger groups I can arrange luxury coaches or midi coaches whichever is suitable for your requirements with an experienced coach driver and a registered tourist guide.

So any size of group can be catered for, from the individual traveller to larger parties. If your main language is not English I can arrange for a language speaking guide to accompany you on the tour.

Disabled access logo If you have mobility problems:
Most of the vehicles used can take a collapsible wheelchair; walking frame or collapsible travel mobility scooter, as long as the user can transfer to a regular vehicle seat.

If you are in a wheelchair and cannot transfer to a regular vehicle seat, I can organise a very comfortable wheelchair accessible vehicle where you can still enjoy a Scottish Tour with family or friends from the comfort of your own wheelchair. I can also suggest accommodation to suit your mobility issues and plan visits to places that have easy access. I can show you a Scotland where you will enjoy many special experiences unique to my country, experiences which will indeed, "haste ye back!"

There are a number of activities that can be included into your tour to enhance your experience of Scotland like horse riding (even western style on Appaloosa Horses): fishing, golfing, clay pigeon shooting, and falconry.

Pilgrim the Bald Eagle

Right; A group of American visitors loved the falconry experience handling a variety of birds of prey. The highlight of the day being with Pilgrim the American Bald Eagle!

Below are links to some of my tours... I also have a six-day Spirit of Scotland Tour which includes Whisky Distilleries and Castles, Clan Tours and Scottish Border Tours - please enquire! Itineraries can also be arranged for bespoke tours to suit individual interests and wishes, for example, family/clan tours, gardens, golf, historic houses, retail therapy. I can also recommend accommodation to suit your requirements/budget - anything from delightful, comfortable bed and breakfast to guest houses, farms, country house hotels and castles. If you require flight arrangements that can also be organised, and, if your language is not English, I can arrange for a suitable language speaking guide to escort you on your tours. Nothing is a problem; it is an opportunity for me to make your visit a most enjoyable and unforgetable experience!
